Defenseman Mike Commodore has been dealt by the Detroit Red Wings to the Tampa Bay Lightning in return for a conditional seventh round draft pick.
Commodore appeared in only 17 games for the Red Wings this season after signing with Detroit over the summer as an unrestricted free agent. With last week’s acquisition of Kyle Quincey, Commodore was pushed to the 8th defenseman slot, making it unlikely that he’d get playing time with the Red Wings.
