Red Wings Announce 2026 Training Camp Roster

The Detroit Red Wings announced the roster and schedule for their 2026 Training Camp on Wednesday.

Camp begins in Detroit on Thursday.

The team had previously announced that they would be holding a smaller camp than usual. This season, there will be 49 players in camp, as opposed to 62 last season. All players are under contract to either the Red Wings or the Grand Rapids Griffins, with the exception of restricted free agent Simon Edvinsson, who will be attending camp despite not yet having signed a new contract with Detroit.

Between the smaller camp roster and the fact that the Red Wings’ website was previously updated, there aren’t any surprises as far as jersey numbers. Most notably, it’s confirmed that Emmitt Finnie will not be changing to #32, as had previously been rumored.
