Wallin, a sixth-round draft pick of the Seattle Torrent in 2025, spent most of last season on a reserve contract with the Ottawa Charge. She appeared in two games with Ottawa, going scoreless.
Philbert backstopped the French team at the 2026 Winter Olympics, putting up a .933 save percentage and a 3.00 goals against average in four games. She spent the 2025-26 season with the EV Bozen Eagles, where she led the league with a .936 save percentage and was named a First Team All-Star.
PWHL Detroit now has eight signed forwards, plus four currently-unsigned players selected in last week’s PWHL Draft. Philbert is the team’s only signed goalie but can be expected to back up unsigned second-round draft pick Andrea Brandli.
