One day after an eight-round shootout win over the Minnesota Wild, the Red Wings are back at it, hosting the Washington Capitals.
The Red Wings sit in a three-way tie with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins in the NHL standings, all at 95 points. The Capitals are just two ahead at 97.
Detroit will be without forward Justin Abdelkader, who injured his hand blocking a shot late in the win over Minnesota. Daniel Cleary will take his spot in the lineup.
The only other change for the Red Wings is Petr Mrazek replacing Jimmy Howard in goal.
Stupid stat of the day: The Red Wings are 3-1 all-time in the regular season against the Washington Capitals at home in April.
Game time is 5:00 PM on FSD.
