The deal is on top of the one-year contract that Knight signed with PWHL Las Vegas during Phase Two of the league’s expansion player dispersal process, keeping Knight in Detroit through the 2028-29 campaign.
Detroit acquired Knight in return for the third overall pick in last week’s PWHL Entry Draft.
Knight spent last season with the Seattle Torrent as the team’s captain for its inaugural year. She scored five goals and nine assists in 22 games while battling injury. She added five points in seven games at the Winter Olympics, winning a gold medal with Team USA.
