Red Wings – Blues Game Notes

358

I wanted to write some all-inclusive game recap but what is there to say about the Red Wings’ shootout win over the Blues other than they didn’t those two points.

Chris Osgood played well, ignoring the first fluky goal. Marian Hossa had a typically strong game. Other than that, were there any good points?

The Red Wings failed to forecheck. They turned the puck over in the neutral zone, They couldn’t get shots to the net.

Detroit can thank Manny Legace for being completely worthless in net for St. Louis. He should have had at least the first two Wings goals, if not all three.

Needless to say, I’m not ready to declare the Wings’ slump over.
