  • Wings would let Parros score, even if it was a weird deflection.

  • O’Halloran blowing off a goal because Holmstrom was near the crease is nothing new. That it went in Detroit’s favor is a surprise.

  • The Red Wings look for their 19th consecutive win at home tonight while hosting the Anaheim Ducks.

The game is the 1000th of Tomas Holmstrom’s career.

There’s been a lot of buzz about the possibility of the Red Wings trading for Anaheim’s Teemu Selanne. No new news about it, just journalists bringing it up. Personally, I’d love to see it at the right price but I don’t think it’ll happen.

Danny Cleary will be out of the lineup after having his knee drained and a cortisone shot yesterday. Jan Mursak is back in the lineup in his place. Jakub Kindl is in on defense with Mike Commodore out. Joey MacDonald gets another start with Jimmy Howard on the shelf and Ty Conklin having played himself out of a job.

The Wings will be in their white sweaters with the Ducks in black, as it should be at home (I imagine this means the Ducks are wearing their alts).

Game time is 7:30 PM with FSD having the TV.
