Another GDT with no pregame notes, another afternoon game where I’m too busy to put something together before the opening faceoff. We’ve got a 12:30 start today on NBC, fun.
Johan Franzen is out with a bruised hand, suffered in yesterday’s game. Tomas Kopecky gets back into the lineup in his place. Franzen is day-to-day.
Conklin gets the start. Can’t say I’m surprised.
I am happy there isn’t a ridiculous score right now, otherwise I start to not pay attention.
Still 0-0 in the second period.
The first period save on the penalty kill was good, bad for Malkin or whoever that was that missed it d:
Pavs with a PPG on the rebound. The line that was out there? Zata, Pavs, and Helm. Helm? Babcock says “I’m throwing it all out there and you can’t stop me.”
Datsyuk gets a power play goal to finally alter the score.
I’m happy they stopped booing for Hossa, or am I just tuning it out? :c It was something I forgot to mention earlier. Hopefully all the Penguins fans will boo Conklin the rest of the period and lose consciousness from the lack of oxygen?

Missed the first period because I was watching MAn United v West Ham and yesterday I only realised the game was on when I checked and it was already 5-0 and there didn’t seem much point in watching. Stupid daytime games.
Hossa says “Boo all you want, bitches.”
I had a feeling that would happen.
Injuries be damned, this this has been a good weekend. Love it.
