Right now we are on a little bit of a down after that tremendous high that we had. Vokoun may not be in net tonight so that should help us out a little bit. Let’s go regain control of the central division!
SYfanSDNovember 25, 2006 3:10 AM
Vokoun’s expected to miss several weeks. Should make things easier but you know the rest of the team will step up their game.
MacDonald gets the start for Detroit.

Z gets us on the board first, but as luck would have it some crap calls followed and now it is tied
SYfanSDNovember 26, 2006 2:00 AM
I just turned it off. I can handle the Wings playing like sh*t but not that, combined with Nashville’s fans and refs that seem too blinded by the Preds’ ugly-ass jerseys to see their penalties. Kariya scores when Nashville should be shorthanded. Game was probably already gone by then but now I’m done. Screw this.
Clark RasmussenNovember 26, 2006 2:38 AM
Wings got shafted on that second goal by Z, something in the rule book needs to be amended to the fact if the opposing players shove the other team into the crease so it creates interference with the goaltender, the goal should be allowed. That’s CRAP! And you are right those ugly-ass jerseys are blinding the refs to what is really going on! THIS GAME REALLY SUCKS ASS!

Who is backing up Macdonald anyway? Is it Liv? Why not put him in last night to see how it turned out? Could not have been any worse, and I think everyone is waiting to see what he can do. Stormo who is your team?
SYfanSDNovember 26, 2006 3:11 AM
Habs…I’m goin to the game in January when they are at the Joe.
StormoNovember 26, 2006 3:38 AM
Not a Wings fan, so maybe I’m missing something. Why not give Jimmy Howard these starts instead of Joey MacDonald…Detroit has had enough trouble with starters named Joey.
StormoNovember 26, 2006 4:04 AM
Habs… That a respectable pick, history question for you:
What does the CH on their uniforms mean? And it is not Les Habitants
SYfanSDNovember 26, 2006 4:04 AM
Good question. MacDonald can’t go down to GR without clearing waivers so it makes sense for him to be the regular #3 but if they need a goalie to get into a game, it seems like Howard would be the one to do it. The Wings have said they won’t call anyone up while Osgood is injured, though.
Maybe it’s financial, the Wings trying to save their cap space for when they need it most.
The way they played tonight (for the two periods I actually watched), I’m glad it wasn’t Howard getting lit up, who knows what that would have done for his confidence.

It was Hasek making his first appearance of the season as backup, they didn’t want him to come in cold so they left MacDonald in.
Like I said before, not sure why the Wings don’t have another goalie called up.

My French is poor so I won’t put it in French, but the H stands for hockey.
StormoNovember 26, 2006 7:32 AM
It originally stood for Canadian Hockey Club or Le Club de Hockey Canadien
If it was Hasek this time, who was backing up last time?

The old joke…playing on a French accent…is that CH along the redline stands for Centre Hice

Clark,
We all know your connected, call Holland and have him change his ways!

Liv was up to backup last time. Like I said, not entirely sure what’s going on now.
