Pregame: Maple Leafs @ Red Wings – 12/10

The Red Wings host a familiar Original Six foe tonight as the Toronto Maple Leafs visit Detroit.

Detroit will revert to the lineup they used in their 3-2 win over the New York Rangers on Saturday night, as Daniel Cleary swaps out up front for Joakim Andersson and Brian Lashoff is replaced on the blue line by Jakub Kindl.

Justin Abdelkader remains out with a shoulder injury but has returned to practice in a “non-contact” jersey.

Stupid stat of the day: One-third of Detroit’s matchups against Original Six teams since the Red Wings moved to the Eastern Conference have ended in overtime or the shootout.
