Coming off a 2-1 win over the Boston Bruins in their opener on Thursday, the Red Wings host the Anaheim Ducks tonight.
Detroit will roll the same lineup as they used against Boston, so Pavel Datsyuk remains on IR with Stephen Weiss, Daniel Cleary and Brian Lashoff as healthy scratches.
This will be the Red Wings first look at the Ducks’ new-look second line, centered by Livonia-native Ryan Kesler, an offseason trade acquisition. It’ll also be Detroit’s first look at Anaheim’s new road jerseys, featuring their webbed-foot D logo rather than their script logo.
Stupid stat of the day: The Red Wings are 18-14-6 all-time in Game Two of a season in which they win their opener.
Game time is 7:00 PM on FSD.
