The Red Wings and Blackhawks begin their Western Conference Semifinal matchup tonight with Game One in Chicago.
Detroit will go with a similar lineup to what they used to close out their series with the Ducks on Sunday. Mikael Samuelsson is out in favor of Cory Emmerton on the fourth line but everything else remains the same.
As I tweeted on Monday, it’s the first time since 1985 that the Wings will be the lower seed in a series against Chicago.
Today’s stupid stat of the day: The Red Wings are only 6-9 all-time in Game One against the ‘Hawks. They are winless in six series openers in Chicago.
Game time is 8:00 PM on NBCSN.
