It’s the Dallas Stars visiting the Red Wings tonight for the second matchup between the teams in a week.
Kari Lehtonen held the Red Wings to a single goal (scored with just seconds remaining) last Tuesday and will get the nod again tonight for the Stars, who are coming off a 2-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets last night.
The Wings, who lost to Chicago in overtime on Sunday, will go with Jimmy Howard for the sixth consecutive game. Brian Lashoff is the healthy scratch on the blue line with Jakub Kindl sliding back into the lineup. No changes are expected for the forwards.
Game time is 7:30 on Fox Sports Detroit Plus. That’s 707 on my channel lineup, but I can’t speak for yours.

Hell of a fight by Tootoo but I still fail to see the point.

Amazing the difference in the PK between Game 1 and now,

Odd-man opportunity bites the Wings in the ass? I can’t believe it.

Wings did a great job of not giving up after the Dallas goal. Lehtonen really keeping the Stars in it tonight.

Really solid win and really solid effort by the Wings tonight. Good to see after their struggles thus far this season.
As I said at the end of the second, Detroit could have given up or gotten frustrated when Kari Lehtonen was holding them off the board and a defensive breakdown led to a Dallas goal. They kept up the pressure, though, and broke through in a big way.
Unfortunately, they’ve bought themselves some skepticism, so I’ll temper my excitement with concern over whether or not they can do this consistently. St. Louis is up on Friday and that will be a pretty big test.

Another pointless fight off the opening draw. Awesome. And the power play still looking… Something.
