The National Hockey League released the schedule for the first round of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Sunday. The Detroit Red Wings will begin their postseason on Wednesday, April 11, hosted by the Nashville Predators.
Detroit’s shootout loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday locked Chicago into the Western Conference’s sixth seed, Detroit in the fifth seed, and Nashville in the fourth seed, giving the Predators home ice against the Wings.
The Detroit – Nashville series schedule is as follows:
April 11 – at Nashville – 8:00 PM
April 13 – at Nashville – 7:30 PM
April 15 – at Detroit – 12:00 PM
April 17 – at Detroit – 7:30 PM
April 20 – at Nashville – 8:00 PM
April 22 – at Detroit – TBD
April 24 – at Nashville – TBD
The Red Wings also announced on Sunday that forward Chris Conner has been called up from the Grand Rapids Griffins.
