The Red Wings are getting healthier in the back end of their home-and-home series with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jonathan Ericsson and Johan Franzen rejoin the Wings in Columbus tonight, though Jimmy Howard remains out.
Jan Mursak and Jakub Kindl will sit to make room for the returnees.
The Blue Jackets, meanwhile, will be without goalie Steve Mason, who took a shot off the head in the morning skate. Allen York – who replaced Mason during the second period in Detroit on Monday – will get the start. He’ll be backed up by Shawn Hunwick, the U of M netminder who signed an amateur tryout contract with Columbus today.
Game time is 7:30 PM on NBCSN.

Two questions:
1. Do we keep White? I think so.
2. How come Nick Lidstrom’s name never comes up in the Hart trophy discussions?

We look tired.

Conklin knocked that straight up into the air and then lost track of it, and Stuart did no better. Awful.

Fantastic note to leave on. I’ll be back in about an hour.

We look so bad tonight. I’m not sure what to think anymore.

Well, my one-hour meeting became a two-hour one pretty quick, so all I saw of this one was up to the first goal. I don’t think that qualifies me to recap the game very well.
That said, I had a feeling coming into this one that it could be a lot like the blowout loss to St. Louis late last season. Trap game. Whatever you want to call it.
Maybe they got it out of their systems before the Nashville game, the one that is supposed to really matter? I don’t know, hard to take anything good from getting beaten by a rookie third-string goalie on the worst team in the league.

And we are going to lose our ass tonight
Conklin… You are the weakest link.
