The Red Wings visit their eighth city in the last 10 games tonight as they meet the Washington Capitals. Detroit hasn’t played back-to-back games in the same place since a pair of wins at home on December 14 and 17.
Chris Osgood will make his first start in nearly a month, facing a Capitals team that he earned a 3-2 win over in October.
The only other lineup change for Detroit is that Ville Leino is in for Brad May.
It’s an early start tonight, 7:00.

Ugly, grindy goal!
Clark RasmussenJanuary 20, 2010 1:03 AM
Awesome that they scored first!
Hahaha, and Datsyuk’s interview during the intermission, holy lord. I don’t think I’d be able to interview him with a straight face.

Eaves needed to shoot that faster.

Glad to see they are out playing them, but makes me nervous that they are only one shot from tying this game up
fitch.1918January 20, 2010 1:22 AM
and theres the one shot
fitch.1918January 20, 2010 1:27 AM
as for my prediction its called reverse jinx. Wings outplayed caps through 40. Its 1-1…

YESSSSSS!!!!
fitch.1918January 20, 2010 2:04 AM
Missed the Washington goal on my way out to the car to go to the gym. Caught Raffy scoring just as I got back. Conclusion: Going to the gym is bad.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 20, 2010 2:05 AM
Ahh f*ck. Ozzie looked surprised, like he’d expected Stuart to make the play.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 20, 2010 2:11 AM
I’m going back to the gym. Christ.

Gordon gets warned and warned and warned, then Datsyuk gets kicked out of the faceoff circle. Interesting.

at what point does LEINO and FILPULLA develop a shot, or an instinct to shoot the damn puck. Anyways, someone put this team out of their misery. Stressin’. Have nobody that can bury the puck, all pass first stars. Didn’t think the wings could pull out any points anyways in DC, almost though.

6 – 1 blowout, caps over wings prediction

Decent pace to start. Hoping Three-or-four lives up to his nickname.

Glad to see the faith.

I’m hoping Wings can win 3 out of next 4
fitch.1918January 20, 2010 12:22 PM
dang bert has to bury that
fitch.1918January 20, 2010 12:28 PM
Probably about the best period you could expect without a goal. Hope that doesn’t mean the Wings have burned their best chances.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 20, 2010 12:39 PM
Good period, hopefully they can get that important first goal
