Darren McCarty, back from his one-game stint with the Grand Rapids Griffins, will miss tonight’s Red Wings – Blue Jackets matchup. McCarty tweaked a groin injury at Detroit’s morning skate.
Derek Meech will remain at forward to replace McCarty on the fourth line after originally expecting to be a healthy scratch.
The only other major lineup change from Wednesday’s loss to Montreal is the return of Dan Cleary, who will skate alongside Valtteri Filppula and Jiri Hudler on the third line.
Chris Osgood will replace Ty Conklin in the Red Wings’ crease.
