The Red Wings’ West Coast road trip comes to a close tonight in Vancouver. After tonight they’re off until Saturday when they host the New Jersey Devils.
Chris Osgood is back between the pipes tonight and (one game later than I suggested it) Derek Meech is in for Brett Lebda.
Those appear to be the only changes to Detroit’s lineup and the only pregame news I can find.

They were saying there were some forward lines being changed? But I only caught half of it, so I don’t know who’s going where (or if that was what they were even talking about XD)
Why until Saturday? That’s kinda ridiculous =/ Well, in my opinion it kinda is. (not that this west coast trip has been my cup of tea, either)

I missed pre-game so I didn’t see anything about the forward lines.
The delay until Saturday is to make up for the compressed West Coast trip.

One thing I don’t like about these new lines: Kopecky back on the fourth line. I really like the energy he brings to the third line. That said, maybe he can spark Maltby and McCarty, who haven’t done a damned thing this year. Maltby already had one good shift.
I like seeing Filppula with Zetterberg, I’ve always liked them together.
This’ll probably be a quiet night for me, I’m not sticking near the computer but I’ll try to check in from time to time.

Samuelsson with a goal on the power play Awesome!
And at the end of the period, Samuelsson in the box XD

Wings looked better that period than any of the last six. Glad to see that the rest has been good for them.
I missed Vancouver’s penalty but I don’t like the boarding call on Kopecky. It looked clean to me but I haven’t seen a replay so I could be wrong.

Rafalski got a goal on the power play minutes ago.
And now Vancouver scores. 2-1

Henrik Zetterberg gets a goal. I didn’t think that went in!
Awesome. 3-1

I love Zetterberg’s goal. Another one of those kind of, “I’m going to score now” moments. He decided to put it in the net and it went there.
Fantastic to see a five-on-three in Detroit’s favor.
Can’t believe the call on Kronner to end the period.

3-2 Now, but I don’t know who scored for Vancouver.
Wellwood? Something or other.
Crazy pile-up by Osgood.

Goalie interference on Cleary.
I don’t know what to say about that one – it does look like Cleary ploughed right into him, however, it does look like Cleary was looking at the blue line at the same time.
God, I hate the music the Canuckleheads have.

Canucks pulls goalie. Minute left in the third.
Wings win, 3-2

Probably a bit more of a wild finish than the Wings would have liked but overall a much better effort than in San Jose.
