Wings Place McCarty on Waivers

The Red Wings have announced that Darren McCarty is on waivers.

The move was expected as he started the season on the injured reserve but the team might not have room on the active roster for him.

If he clears by noon on Tuesday he could be assigned to Grand Rapids.
