The Red Wings look to move one game from the Cup while the Penguins are trying to stay alive coming back to Pittsburgh where they’re unbeaten in the playoffs.
There don’t appear to be any lineup changes coming out of Game Two but it’s still early.
Television reminder: Tonight’s game will be on NBC, as will the remainder of the series.
Clark RasmussenMay 28, 2008 1:10 AM
Lineup change for Pittsburgh: Darryl Sydor comes in on the blue line. No reports on who’s coming out to make room for him yet. He’s been a healthy scratch throughout the playoffs.
Clark RasmussenMay 28, 2008 3:43 AM
Penguins looked a lot better at the end of the period there. Wings look a little bit like they’re biding their time. Not good, gotta keep the pressure up.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 1:00 AM
And home ice advantage rears it’s ugly head.
choyerMay 29, 2008 1:07 AM
Two goals in the whole series and McGuire claims the Penguins skill guys are back.
Damnit.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 1:20 AM
f*cking hell.
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 1:21 AM
Wings have gotta get off their f*cking heels, they’re looking nervous out there, making bad passes.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 1:26 AM
Orpik drives Hudler into the net, knocks it off, no call?
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 1:34 AM
Too many attempted long passes.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 1:43 AM
Johan Mother f*cking Franzen!!!
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 1:45 AM
FRANZZENNNN!!!!!! Vital goal.
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 1:48 AM
Wings looked a lot better in the second but still not good enough. I think they’re turning it around though, we’ll see in the third.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 1:56 AM
Orpik drives Hudler into the net, knocks it off, no call?
That’s what I was saying.
That was ridiculous. Would have been a goal if they didn’t do that–Penalty shot?
drwmike33May 29, 2008 2:01 AM
They simply had to score in that period, otherwise it would have been too much. I’m not sure that mentally the Pens could cope if the Wings tied the game.
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 2:04 AM
Pierre McGuire is a sad excuse for a commentator. NBC needs to get this chump off the air as soon as possible. I really wish I could watch Don Cherry on CBC, at least he tells it like it is.
choyerMay 29, 2008 2:12 AM
McGuire’s a tool but so is Cherry. I just hit mute.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 2:18 AM
Huge save by Osgood! Smart play to reach back.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 2:19 AM
Damn. Damn, damn, damn.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 2:24 AM
AARRGHH!!!
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 2:25 AM
How did Holmstrom not score?
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 2:27 AM
Back within one!
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 2:34 AM
And they have a lifeline!
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 2:35 AM
How was there no call on that?
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 2:38 AM
f*ck.
Well, a lot to take away from this one. The Wings got a lot better later in the game so if they can carry that into Saturday, they’ll be okay.
I guess this means my Game Five tickets are good.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 2:49 AM
Most exciting game of the series so far, but would have taken a boring Detroit win any day of the week. Not the end of the world, win game 4 and it’s all good. Doesn’t make me feel much better though.

My sentiments exactly….but we couldn’t assume this team would go away easily.
Is it just me, or are penguins fans stupid….they want a call everytime malkin falls!
drwmike33May 29, 2008 3:00 AM
Whats the update on chelios?? we need him, lilja is bound to make the big mistake.

Wings fans do the same thing with Datsyuk and Zetterberg, I don’t blame them.

Chelios is supposedly fine but Babcock didn’t want to change things up while they were winning. We’ll see if he’s in for Game Four.

Also on CBC for those who get it, which I’ll be watching because I’d rather hear Don Cherry praise the Wings in the first intermission then listen to the stupid NBC commentators [which I sometimes question if they know they’re covering hockey?] that never praise the Wings
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351May 29, 2008 12:03 PM
The Pens have started well. Hardly any shots for the Wings.
BritishwingsfanMay 29, 2008 12:41 PM
Great chance by Stuart. Another PP coming up, gotta get going…
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 12:43 PM
Power play looked good except for not scoring. Gotta get going with the extra attacker, can’t waste those opportunities.
Clark RasmussenMay 29, 2008 12:47 PM
Goddamnit, giveaway leads to Pittsburgh’s first goal.

Urgh, Stuart. And bloody goldenboy scores.
