Jimmy Howard has been called up to the Red Wings with Dominik Hasek day-to-day. Chris Osgood will take on the starting role in Detroit’s net once again while Hasek is out.

Niklas Kronwall, out of the lineup since January 30, was placed on injured reserve to make room in the Detroit lineup for Howard.
