Late Thoughts on Wings – Leafs

408

Some thoughts from the morning after…

Turns out that Dan Cleary will be out for six-to-eight weeks after taking a puck to the face on a shot by Mikael Samuelsson. The good news is that eight weeks puts him back right at the start of the playoffs.

Depending on who you believe, Jiri Hudler was a healthy scratch. The FSN guys said he wasn’t feeling well, Malik called it a shoulder issue (after MacLeod said he was out and mentioned he’d been hurt against the Kings on Thursday), and Khan was neutral. Now MacLeod calls it a healthy scratch.

Actually, MacLeod says a lot of what I have said or would have said. I agree with him on the goaltending, you guys saw my ranting here.

I expected this game to be a loss and really am kind of glad to have just gotten a point out of it. Today’s game against the Ducks is much more important.
