Osgood gets the start tonight (he’s up in the rotation) and Dallas Drake is out of the lineup with a knee injury. Aaron Downey takes his spot.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 15, 2008 11:52 AM
Eh, Nick had the puck, can’t complain too much about that hit.
Can complain about the lack of coverage on the goal. Hossa walked right in from the corner.
Well its part of hockey, but I view it close to being cross checking … It was a hit and knock down from behind. Nick doesn’t have eyes in the back of his head (nor does anyone else for that matter). Borderline cross check in my opinion. That’s how guys get hurt
I’d agree if he had been hit into the boards. And Holik’s a tough guy, if he wanted to hurt Lidstrom he could have hit much harder.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 16, 2008 1:01 AM
Guess we’ll let Downey settle. You’re right. Lidstrom oriented toward the boards, and it would have been a big issue.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 1:04 AM
Nice chance by Dr. Fil going to the net.
You….are my hero D:
D: This is depressing. =/
Getting outplayed by Atlanta. (Me & my biases. ._.)
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 1:04 AM
What are we doing here? Storm back in the last minutes of the third again..??
skyguy52January 16, 2008 1:08 AM
What are we doing here? Storm back in the last minutes of the third again..??
Seems like it. NOT MUCH OF A GAME PLAN TO ME, FOLKS.
At least the stellar Dr. Fil was interviewed. My sanity has been spared for a little bit longer.
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 1:15 AM
I don’t worry until the end of the second. Didn’t look good but the first intermission is a good time to regroup and get going.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 16, 2008 1:28 AM

(WHERE’S HASEK!?!?!?!?!)
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 1:34 AM
Okay, a little worried now.
Edit: No need to call for Hasek, he won’t come in cold. Three goals isn’t impossible anyway.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 16, 2008 1:35 AM
Okay, a little worried now.
Edit: No need to call for Hasek, he won’t come in cold. Three goals isn’t impossible anyway.
But Hasek is my favorite goalie D: Darn.
I have a bad feeling that Lidstrom’s in the box.
edit;; can I call for Hasek now?
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 1:38 AM
Bring in Hasek.
This is not good for Osgood.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 1:42 AM
I’ll be damned, Dom comes in. Perrin was in the crease.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 16, 2008 1:42 AM
Apparently the WINGS haven’t taken THRASHERS very serious up to this point. 4-0 mid-way thru second period. Wasn’t the January thaw last week??
Enter HAZEK
skyguy52January 16, 2008 1:46 AM
Proof the WINGS aren’t immune to being E-M-B-A-R-R-A-S-E-D.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 1:49 AM
Looks like a fire under SAMUELSON and ZETTERBERG? Maybe?
skyguy52January 16, 2008 1:56 AM
Proof the WINGS aren’t immune to being E-M-B-A-R-R-A-S-E-D.
XD HAHAHA. D: You crack me up. I may have popped a hole in my lung.
That last minute was exciting. Let’s not get in another 4 goal deficit?
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 1:56 AM
Lets See how well the WINGS storm back from this one …………
skyguy52January 16, 2008 1:57 AM
I swear I’ve seen Homer pushed down more than once. Maybe it’s not that serious, but still, it’s not cool.
Yeah, I bet this game is already lost.
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 1:59 AM

Appreciate your Sense of Humor …. notice not too many “Paying Customers” have much of a G-S-O-H tonight? Hmmmm. Wonder why?
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:01 AM
OK.. Clark … Are we worried yet?
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:05 AM
OK.. Clark … Are we worried yet?
Is that a serious question? D: XD Maybe you should go take a trip to Dr. Fil’s and get some meds.
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 2:10 AM
Well sports fans I guess today is not a good day to be a Wings fan. Atlanta is really on top of their game, I mean we outshot them 22-6 in the second and we did not score? WTF!!!!!
SYfanSDJanuary 16, 2008 2:16 AM

Hey there, buddy!
Haha. I like his post, I mean, I just kind of vented in mine. He explained stuff.
But I agree, I questioned a lot in the 2nd.
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 2:18 AM
That is what I spend the majority of my day doing!!! Explaining sh*t!
SYfanSDJanuary 16, 2008 2:22 AM
At least now we know how all of the other teams that we have dominated this season felt!
SYfanSDJanuary 16, 2008 2:23 AM
OK.. Clark … Are we worried yet?

Have already started on the Meds. They’re called Miller lite.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:24 AM
Have already started on the Meds. They’re called Miller lite.
Hahaha, the joys of being legal.
Well, hopefully the Wings won’t be shut out?
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 2:28 AM
Well, the PK held out for once tonight.
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 2:33 AM
Well if there is a sunny side to this, its that its is an excellent opportunity for Hasek to improve his Goals Against Average, relative to Ozgood.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:35 AM
OK.. Clark … Are we worried yet?
I distracted myself, burned off some energy cleaning. Updated the logos for the St. Louis Blues on the main site. This is painful to watch.
Someone make a great nickname for Kronwall no, he deserves it!
This game is still obviously lost, but at least there are not shut-outs!
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 2:45 AM
Finally we get one!
SYfanSDJanuary 16, 2008 2:46 AM
Nice job by Krons to finally put it past Lehtonen
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:46 AM
Well, at least the Wings won’t be embarrased twice, losing AND being shout out.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:47 AM
Too bad it took so long for them to get one. Need one quick if they are to have any chance of a comeback.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 16, 2008 2:49 AM

Oh lordy. XD lmao. I wouldn’t want that to be my nickname. XD But then I guess I can’t speak for the whole world.
Mathieu_Datsyuk132351January 16, 2008 2:53 AM
Anyone else have a bad feed tonight or is it just bad for me? Not that it matters for much longer.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 16, 2008 2:54 AM
Well, its better than Corn ball. hehehe
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:54 AM

I think its like Micky R has been saying …. this kind of thing is bound to happen at some point.
We’re just not used to this …..
Regroup … this is the kind of thing that some leadership by certain WINGS will prove well worth the talk.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:57 AM
Anyone else have a bad feed tonight or is it just bad for me? Not that it matters for much longer.
Oops sorry Clark, Thought you were talking about having a bad “feel” for the game.
I have the TV here in the room with me, but the bad thing is the fridge is clear on the other side of the house.
skyguy52January 16, 2008 2:59 AM
I guess if there’s a night to have a bad feed (keeps getting scrambly and the sound goes out), this is the one.
Yeah, these games happen. Forget about it and get ready for the next one. Babcock’s been saying he wanted some adversity anyway, not a cakewalk to the playoffs.
Clark RasmussenJanuary 16, 2008 3:01 AM
Was this a thumping by the Thrashers, or a Thrashing by the Thumpers?? …
skyguy52January 16, 2008 3:03 AM
I think we can solve by putting the power line of Pavel, ‘Zata’ (what everyone appears to be calling him now 0_O), and Homer.

It’s a person laughing so hard their eyes are squinted and with a big smile, I reckon?
