The Detroit Red Wings announced on Wednesday that they have agreed to terms on a three-year contract extension with goaltender Chris Osgood.
As per club policy, the financial terms of the deal were not announced, but TSN of Canada reports that the contract is for just under $1.5 million per season.
Osgood is in the third season of his second stint with the Red Wings, the team that drafted him in 1991. He is enjoying a career revival that sees him leading NHL goalies with a 1.68 goals against average, tied for the lead with a .932 save percantage, and holding a 19-2-1 record.
