  • Mikey with a beautiful wrister from the slot, burns Raycroft, 3-0 Detroit! Another power play goal.

Toronto gets a PPG of their own. Hasek goes down way early on Wellwood, who passes off to McCabe to put it in the wide open net.

And the Leaf fans are loud at the Joe. Brilliant sales plan by the Wings’ front office.

  • Z picks up another one. Holy crap, that one was insane. I thought Datsyuk had it, off the post and Peca is too busy trying to deal with Homer to clear the puck, Zetterberg bangs it in. Four power play goals.

I still don’t know what the call on Toronto was there after the goal. Officiating has been all over the place. I can’t complain too much, I think it’s been pretty even (as far as what’s been called, not the number of calls), but quite a few of them have been weak.

  • Holy crap, Wings are rolling. Wrister from the left circle past new goalie Aubin, a fifth power play goal.

  • Hal Gill sure is tough when he’s not going to have to face someone for another year. Maltby should have cross-checked him in the damn mouth. I guess when your team gets spanked like that, there’s nothing left to do but go after people from behind.

  • Only a few minutes in and the Wings are already taking some big hits. If this is going to keep up night after night, the Wings need to start getting their sticks up. The refs won’t call the hit so the players need to provide incentive not to go headhunting.

  • POWER PLAY GOAL!

Just as I’m screaming about the linesman blowing an offsides call and the officials looking the other way on what should have been interference on the Leafs (leading to a second offsides call), Mikey Samuelsson ends up in just the right spot.

    :woot:

  • Another one!

Zetterberg gets just enough on it to put the rebound back off Raycroft’s skate from the bad angle.

And another power play, after the refs don’t take kindly to the Leafs complaining. What a surprise, the refs don’t want to be criticized. :woot:
