Wow, the Wings absolutely dominated the play for about 5 minutes in the middle of the first period. They really needed to get a goal there, can’t afford to have so many chances that don’t go in against Colorado.
On a side note, good to see that Zetterberg did take the morning skate.
Damn, Aebischer looked good on the first Detroit power play. Until the goal, of course.
That’s what I love about this Detroit team, if you stop them on the pretty chances, they’ll get you with the ugly ones.

That penalty to Maltby was crap, MacLean put his head down, it’s his own damn fault. Big kill on the 5-on-3, though.

This is the one time that we are missing somebody like Hatcher so he could flaten Blake.
Don’t need to flatten anyone as long as you’re getting goals.

Another crap penalty for a 5-on-3. Liles totally took a couple more strides before falling down.
Wings just shut it all down in the third period. Avs get a 5-on-3 and a power play in the final minutes and can’t do a damn thing with it, damned good to see.
