Can’t believe that trippng call on Bykov in the third. I know it’s difficult for a small, unskilled player like Lindros to step around an attempted hip check, but hey, were talking about a guy (along with Mario) who basically invented diving. On another note, is anybody disgusted or at least disturbed by the number of players who turn their backs to a check inorder to get the call? Granted, hits from behind should be penalized, but do we now need a penalty for turning away from the check? We’ll call it butt ending. No wait, that’s taken.

Oh yeah, that’s really getting on my nerves. What this game needs is for some team that’s out of the playoff race right now like Colorado or Calgary ( ) to just start creaming the people who do that and accepting the penalties. Eventually, players will be afraid to turn their backs to an oncoming check ’cause they’ll get nailed.
