Red Wings goalie Dominik Hasek was released from a hospital in his hometown of Pardubice, Czech Republic, after a two-week stay caused by a mystery viral infection.

Hasek reportedly feels “excellent” dispite the fact that the cause of his ailments was never determined. He will continue treatment as an outpatient for the next several weeks.

Hasek does not doubt that he will be back in shape in time for the Red Wings training camp in September. “I believe this year will now be as I had imagined it would be,” Hasek said.
